Wood Fence Installation
Warm, natural cedar and pine fencing built to weather New England winters — installed by the owner, priced at contractor rates.
Wood Fence Installation in Lowell & the Merrimack Valley
Wood is still the most requested fence in the Merrimack Valley, and for good reason — it gives you real privacy, it takes stain or paint beautifully, and a properly built wood fence looks like it belongs on a New England property in a way no other material quite matches.
Steve installs cedar and pressure-treated pine in stockade, board-on-board, shadowbox, picket and post-and-rail configurations. Cedar is the premium choice — it resists rot and insects naturally and silvers into a handsome grey if you leave it unfinished. Pressure-treated pine costs less up front and holds stain well if you want colour.
Every post goes into a properly dug hole below the frost line, which in this part of Massachusetts is what separates a fence that stands straight for decades from one that heaves after two winters. Steve has been setting posts in Merrimack Valley soil since he was fourteen, and he does not cut that corner.
