Here is how it works. Tell him what you are planning and he will put together the full material list — posts, panels, rails, concrete, hardware, gate kit, the lot — sized correctly for your yard so you are not making three return trips. He will pick it up and deliver it, and he passes along his store contractor discounts where they apply.

Then he installs it for labour only. No material markup, because you bought the materials. It is the most transparent version of the arrangement, and for people who like knowing exactly where every dollar went, it is often the most comfortable way to work.
